CINCINNATI (AP) — An American court ruled last month that the U. S. Food and Drug Administration has blocked the drug company from selling Viagra and similar erectile dysfunction drugs in the United States.
The decision is a victory for those who have been affected by the deadly coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 3.7 million people in the United States since the begining of the outbreak, and the country’s public health officials said the decision was the result of an international review.
The FDA’s review found that the company had not shown that it was taking actions that would help the country overcome the pandemic, but that it was taking steps to ensure its sales are not affected. The company has not responded to requests for comment.
In a statement, Pfizer said that the ruling came after a lengthy and thorough review of its business model. However, the company said that the FDA had decided that Viagra sales could not be affected.
